Alphabet Finder

Material List: 

Cardboard tube from paper towel roll

Self adhesive foam letters or shapes

Construction paper in 4-6 different colors

Tempera Paint

How To Make It:

1.  Before the kids arrive cut out 12-26 alphabet letters out of construction paper (about 4"- 6"           big)..  Place them around the room slightly hidden and out of reach (but not hidden                     completely).

2.  Give each child a tube and paint.  Have the children paint the tubes.  Allow paint time to dry.

3.  Have the children stick the foam letters or shapes all over the paper tube.

Activity: 

Tell the children that they are going to play a hide and seek letter game.

Tell the children to look through their telescopes and find all the letter that are green. 

After the children find the letters ask them  to name the letter.  Ask/tell them what sound

the letter makes.
